The rules and guidelines for using 123Converter. Please read these terms carefully before using our file conversion service.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using 123Converter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses 123Converter. We may update these terms at any time — your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Service Description
123Converter is a free online file conversion and optimization platform. The Service includes the following tools:
File Converters (9 categories)
Image (23 formats including PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG, HEIC, AVIF, and RAW camera files), Video (17 formats including MP4, WebM, AVI, MOV, MKV), Audio (10 formats including MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, OGG), Document (17 formats including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, ODT, CSV), Presentation (11 formats including PPTX, PPT, ODP, PDF), eBook (10+ formats including EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, FB2), Archive (13+ formats including ZIP, 7Z, TAR, RAR), Font (7 formats including TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2), and OCR text extraction (8 input formats, 8 output formats, 70+ languages).
File Compressors (6 tools)
Image Compressor (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, SVG, TIFF, BMP, AVIF), Video Compressor (17 input formats, MP4 output with H.264/H.265, platform presets), PDF Compressor (multiple quality levels with optional grayscale), GIF Compressor (lossy compression, frame dropping, color reduction), MP3 Compressor (bitrate reduction with quality presets), and WAV Compressor (sample rate, bit depth, and channel adjustment).
Additional Tools
Unit Converter (27 measurement categories across length, weight, temperature, data storage, electrical, energy, and more — runs entirely client-side with no file upload), and a built-in Image Editor (resize, rotate, flip, brightness/contrast, filters, watermarks).
The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. File Upload & Size Limits
Each tool has specific file size and batch limits to ensure reliable processing:
Converters
Images — up to 25 MB per file. Videos — up to 100 MB per file. Audio — up to 50 MB per file. Documents — up to 25 MB per file. Presentations — up to 25 MB per file. eBooks — up to 50 MB per file. Archives — up to 50 MB per file. Fonts — up to 10 MB per file. OCR — up to 10 MB per file, maximum 10 pages per PDF.
Compressors
Image Compressor — up to 5 MB per file, 20 files per batch. Video Compressor — up to 200 MB per file, 5 files per batch. PDF Compressor — up to 50 MB per file, 10 files per batch. GIF Compressor — up to 25 MB per file, 10 files per batch. MP3 Compressor — up to 25 MB per file, 10 files per batch. WAV Compressor — up to 50 MB per file, 10 files per batch.
Files exceeding these limits will be rejected. We may adjust size limits at any time based on server capacity and demand.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use 123Converter only for lawful purposes. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Uploading files that contain malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Converting files that you do not own or do not have the legal right to modify.
- Converting files that contain illegal content, including but not limited to child exploitation material.
- Using the Service to infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, exploit, or attack our servers or infrastructure.
- Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to mass-convert files without authorization.
- Circumventing file size limits or rate limiting mechanisms.
We reserve the right to block access to any user or IP address that violates this policy, without prior notice.
5. Intellectual Property
Your files
You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to the files you upload and convert. We do not claim any rights over your content. Files are processed solely for the purpose of conversion and are not used for any other purpose.
Our platform
The 123Converter website, its design, logo, and underlying technology are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of our platform without written permission.
6. Cloud Storage Integration
123Converter allows you to import files from third-party cloud storage providers such as Google Drive and Dropbox. When using these features:
- You authorize 123Converter to access only the specific files you select for conversion.
- Your cloud storage credentials and access tokens are used only during the active browser session and are never stored on our servers.
- Files imported from cloud storage are treated identically to uploaded files — processed for conversion and automatically deleted afterward.
- You can revoke 123Converter's access at any time through your cloud storage provider's account settings.
- We are not responsible for the availability or security of third-party cloud storage services.
7. Privacy & Data Handling
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your files responsibly:
- All file uploads and downloads are encrypted via HTTPS.
- Source files are deleted immediately after conversion completes.
- Converted files are automatically purged within 1 hour.
- We do not inspect, read, or store the contents of your files beyond conversion processing.
- We do not share your files with any third party.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While we strive for high-quality conversions, we do not guarantee that:
- All file conversions will be perfect, complete, or meet your specific requirements.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- Conversion results will be identical to the original file in all aspects.
- The Service will be available at all times or in all geographic regions.
You are responsible for verifying that converted files meet your requirements before using them in production or professional contexts. Always keep a backup of your original files.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 123Converter and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
- Damages arising from file corruption, failed conversions, or quality issues.
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
- Any interruption, delay, or failure of the Service.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, including negligence, breach of contract, or any other cause of action.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Significant changes may include modifications to service limitations, acceptable use policies, or liability terms. Your continued use of 123Converter after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
